1. Platform Description

ROVEA is an online marketplace that connects travelers in Saudi Arabia with local tour guide profiles. ROVEA acts solely as an intermediary platform and is not a party to the agreements between travelers and guides.

2. User Registration

To use ROVEA, you must create an account. By registering, you agree to the following:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. Provider Requirements

Local guides listed on ROVEA must comply with the following requirements:

  • Complete identity verification (KYC) by submitting a valid government-issued ID before offering services.
  • Maintain accurate and transparent pricing for all listed services.
  • Deliver services as described in their profile and maintain a professional standard of quality.

4. Booking Process

Bookings on ROVEA follow this process:

  1. The traveler submits a booking request to the guide.
  2. The guide accepts or declines the request.
  3. After acceptance, an eligible booking may proceed to online checkout when payment is enabled.
  4. ROVEA records booking and payment status but does not represent funds as escrowed or promise an automatic guide payout after service.

5. Payment Terms

Online payment is available only when an eligible booking and the configured payment provider are enabled. The following terms apply:

  • Available payment methods are displayed by the configured provider at checkout.
  • All prices are displayed and charged in Saudi Riyals (SAR).
  • ROVEA does not publish a fixed commission rate in these terms.
  • The current platform does not represent funds as escrowed and does not promise an automatic payout schedule after service.

6. Cancellation Policy

7. User Conduct

All users of ROVEA must adhere to the following standards of conduct. Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or termination:

  • No fraudulent activity, including fake bookings, false reviews, or payment manipulation.
  • No harassment, threats, or abusive behavior toward other users.
  • No discrimination based on race, nationality, religion, gender, or any other protected characteristic.
  • No misleading or false information in profiles, listings, or communications.

8. Content Ownership

By submitting content to ROVEA (including reviews, photos, and profile information), you grant ROVEA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content on the platform. You retain ownership of your original content. ROVEA reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

ROVEA serves as a marketplace connecting travelers and guides. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services offered by guides. ROVEA shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform or from services provided by third-party guides. Users engage with guides at their own discretion and risk.

10. Dispute Resolution

Users may contact support about a booking dispute. ROVEA may review available booking records and communications, without promising a refund outcome outside the published cancellation policy. Unresolved disputes are subject to the competent courts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any legal proceedings arising from or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Saudi Arabia.
